0 #14 Johnny 2009-06-05 13:00 this doesnt work in the UK either, i ried editing my area and the detail was awful i couldnt even see roads/streets in sat view, I mean why has somewhere like bagdad got perfect resolution and the UK doesnt! must be to do with intelligence agencies.

PS how do i used the downloaded maps. A transparent user manual miight be handy, not a couple of lines in the wiki. 2/5 so far! Quote

I'm french. I use AndNav2.
But, there's a problem with it's usage in France:
On searching a city, we can use the ZIP code. But in France we don't have ZIP code but postal code. I tried to enter a postal code in the ZIP code text entry and it failed.
Would it be possible for you to modify, in the French configuration, the ZIP code to a postal code. If you want I can send you a .csv file with all the french cities and there postal codes. (Size of the file: 734 Ko)
For your information, the French postal code depends on the department where the city is. Quote

For the 3 options you have to improve the maps directly from within andnav.
