Because the "maps" stored on the device are just images, not navigation data. You would need to download the OSM navigation XML data and calculate the route from that. Quote

With the Build "AndNav2_latest-2.apk" from the 26.09.2009 I have not these Problem.

I use the HTC G2 of T-Mobile with Andriod 1.5.

I have no problem viewing maps but I am unable to search addresses as their is no Canadian selection in your search menu. Can you let me know when you expect to incorporate Canada into your available country options?
