Hello Community,

Besides the videos below, on how to improve the map-data itself, you can:

  • Adding UK-postcodes:
  • ...more

See all screencasts on: showmedo.com!

Creating streets and buildings:

Adding streetnames and housenumbers:

+1 #17 Chin Fook Neng 2009-08-25 06:39 Hi Nicolas, can you please tell me whether AndNav2 requires mobile network in order to work? As I'm very concern about mobile charges. I hope AndNav2 can work with GPS. In this case no mobile charges are incurred. I also noticed that AndNav2 is not available in Asia yet, particular Singapore. Wonder when it will be available?

Thanks & best regards.

The post code search does not work for UK postcodes - three different valid postcodes just return 'Postcode not in database' messages.

UK postcode-search lately has been improved by 6 factors!

-1 #14 Johnny 2009-06-05 13:00 this doesnt work in the UK either, i ried editing my area and the detail was awful i couldnt even see roads/streets in sat view, I mean why has somewhere like bagdad got perfect resolution and the UK doesnt! must be to do with intelligence agencies.

PS how do i used the downloaded maps. A transparent user manual miight be handy, not a couple of lines in the wiki. 2/5 so far!

+1 #13 Tony 2009-05-19 10:03 Hi,

I'm french. I use AndNav2.
But, there's a problem with it's usage in France:
On searching a city, we can use the ZIP code. But in France we don't have ZIP code but postal code. I tried to enter a postal code in the ZIP code text entry and it failed.
Would it be possible for you to modify, in the French configuration, the ZIP code to a postal code. If you want I can send you a .csv file with all the french cities and there postal codes. (Size of the file: 734 Ko)
For your information, the French postal code depends on the department where the city is.

+2 #10 Josh 2009-02-08 18:38 is there any way to download and store the full map on the phone's SD card — i mean what if your out of the coverage area and don't have any high speed data connectivity? GPS satellites cover almost everywhere, but mobile networks don't! Quote
