Hello Community,

today I found this nice (but shaky) user-made video of AndNav2 on Youtube:

It shows the Standard-Map together with a short navigation-sequence where you can here the TTS-library speaking the (German) routinstructions.

Best Regards,
Nicolas & Pascal

+1 #7 Nocturne 2009-03-19 06:52 I'd rather pay a one time fee instead of the monthly rate telenav is offering. It's not me to support something that doesn't work for me though. When it is useful in the united states, that is when I will contribute.(Andnav2!) Quote

I'll make a public announcement on this soon.

I think he was talking of an offline-routing-engine from OSM-data stored on the SD-Card.

It's good to have that clarified. It didn't seem to be mentioned in the comments, anywhere.

Thanks, Nicolas.

Chris.

Without a real route engine Andnav is pretty useless :)

As AndNav2 seems to be able to calculate how to get to a destination, I guess it has a routing engine.

You could question the quality of the routing perhaps, but AndNav is still in Alpha, and it seems to work fairly well.

Chris.
