When will canada be supported?

It already is, for Vancouver BC. The tile pack can be downloaded from the Wiki.

when I tried to create a folder called andnav2/tiles, it refused to accept the / and the folder was named andnav2tiles.
I don't know how to run the AndNav2_latest.apk file. I copied it to my G2 phone's 87mb memory which opens like a removable drive, and file manager sees it, but is not able to open it. Renaming it AndNav2_latest.jar doesn't work either.
Do I have to download the application from my phone using the Opera Minibrower for it to work?

Search for "Linda" on Market and install Linda File Manager, that's a free app. It lets you install apps from .apk files on your SD card (enable install apps from "Unknown sources" if you haven't)

+1 #192 Nicolas Gramlich 2009-06-07 16:09 Hi,

AndNav2_latest.apk is correct, simply browse the url pointing to it from your G1-standard-browser.

Regarding the folder-structure, don't create "andnav2/tiles/mapnik/…" as a single folder but as subfolders of each other. "andnav2" —> "andnav2/tiles" —> "andnav2/tiles/mapnik" —> …

Best Regards,
Nicolas

The latest download is a zip file, not a .apk file. What do I have to do to make it an .apk file

Thanks,
Tim

Rename the file to .apk from .zip it will work then.
