+1 #9 Canny Duck 2009-09-30 16:06 AndNav a great dry for a free navigation software on the Android phone. But it can only deploy it's real strength as an Open Source project. Many people, like me, will support that project to get a competitive navigation solution next to the commercial products. Please make AndNav Open Source to improve and speed up the development and make thing much more stable. Quote

+1 #8 Pimmetje 2009-09-09 15:42 I hope the source will be opened some time. Should be a great open-source project as there are a lot of people willing to put time into it. At least i would try to help if my spare time allowed it. Quote

+1 #7 Lutz 2009-05-27 11:02 Wieso sollte man in eure Projekt spenden wenn das ganze Closed Source ist? Das legt ja nahe das man irgend wann dafür bezahlen darf!? Quote

0 #6 Felix Homann 2009-05-18 12:09 Hi Nicolas,

first, I'd like to thank you very much for your work and putting it into the public for free! It already is a great application.

Even better in my eyes was to have it really open. I think it has a great potential to attract volunteer developers (I for one would gladly contribute to the project).

As you know the last portions of polishing an application to maybe get it on par with commercial applications will need lots of work. So you could surely benefit from opening it up, too.

So, are there any chances you open up Andnav2?

Kind regards,

Felix

+1 #4 raudi 2009-04-09 00:31 how is it possible to use a GPL project within a closed source projectt???
we're talking GPL not LGPL, right?
that sounds like a no-no to me…

0 #3 Alex Mueller 2009-03-31 17:51 It's a pity AndNav is closed source. AndNav.org suggests it being open. Would be nice to be able to contribute and improve instead of re-inventing things with a different project :-/
