Same question as Sandro. I guess that a company will soon surface with such an offer. This is bound to happen: propose free of charge applications, but with some ad in it. A way of paying the developer, and have end-user who do not pay.
When the end-user is fed-up with the ad, he can purchase it. A kind of "freeadmium"
just sent you a mail. (Btw gasbot.net is currently not reachable from the U.S. CollegePark, MD).
